About the Role

Oversee and manage the overall client service experience, people development, sales, productivity, merchandising, operations, and human resource functions of your store. Ensure adherence to Sephora's concepts and culture, maximizing profitability and compliance with objectives and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Forecast sales and payroll with your District Manager to drive store results.
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales results and communicate with staff members.
  • Achieve store’s sales plans and operating profits while maintaining expenses.
  • Manage and measure the effectiveness of business strategies, adjusting when needed.
  • Develop strategies to grow business, leveraging the customer loyalty program, events, product knowledge, and services.
  • Maintain optimum store staffing levels to deliver an exceptional client experience while adhering to budgetary goals.
  • Recruit, interview, and hire for all positions according to business needs.
  • Train, coach, delegate to supervise, and motivate department Managers and Leads to develop their leadership and business skills.
  • Ensure a coaching culture is present that includes timely acknowledgement of successes, and feedback on opportunities through day-to-day coaching and quarterly development meetings.
  • Conduct inventories, maintain updated inventory records, and communicate inventory issues/concerns to key stakeholders.
  • Make strategic and innovative merchandising decisions by Sephora’s concepts when necessary, to grow the business.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years of senior management experience in the beauty, retail, or customer service industry.
  • Proven track record of coaching a high-performing team and a passion for training, development, and education.
  • Previous experience recruiting, staffing, and hiring across all store positions, including leadership.
  • Effective in time management, problem-solving, and communication both verbal and written.
  • Experience in Windows, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to maintain composure and possess strong managerial courage to have tough conversations when needed.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to analyze sales trends and react appropriately.
  • Proven track record of meeting or achieving targets or KPIs.
  • Flexibility to be available during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to bend and stretch to stock shelves.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
