About the Role
Pallet Kings Liquidation is seeking a motivated and energetic Retail Store Assistant Manager in Medford, NY, to lead in a fast-paced liquidation retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily retail store operations and staff performance.
- Supervise, train, and motivate retail associates to deliver excellent customer service.
- Manage merchandise flow, including receiving, sorting, and stocking liquidation inventory.
- Monitor sales floor presentation, product pricing, and overall store appearance.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally.
- Open and close the store, including cash handling, register reconciliation, and security procedures.
- Support loss prevention efforts and ensure store policies and procedures are followed.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of retail management or supervisory experience.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop a team.
- Solid understanding of inventory management and merchandising best practices.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule including weekends.
