About the Role
Gradient Robotics seeks a Hardware Technician to manage and optimize daily hardware build and testing processes. This hands-on role involves supporting multiple teams, owning personal projects, identifying and implementing workflow improvements, and documenting results. Responsibilities
- Organize and prioritize incoming work from multiple teams to ensure timely completion.
- Operate and maintain various 3D printers to ensure reliable performance.
- Design and implement workflow optimizations for personal and team efficiency.
- Clearly document test results and data.
- Manage task flow across teams, keeping all projects on schedule.
Requirements
- DIY project or makerspace experience.
- Proficiency in CAD software.
- Experience diagnosing and resolving hardware issues.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong prioritization skills.
- Willingness to take initiative and identify areas for improvement.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Commitment to continuous learning and skill development through hands-on experience.
- Comfort with ambiguity and a high-ownership mindset.
- Ability to work on-site in San Francisco 5 days/week (potentially 6 days/week during crunch time).
