About the Role
Oversee financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance in accounting practices. This role is critical for driving and scaling the company's financial health and requires strategic thinking and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, including consolidation, foreign currency remeasurement and translation, intercompany eliminations, and preparation of consolidated financial statements.
- Extract, map, and reconcile trial balances between source ledgers (NetSuite) and the consolidation tool (Planful).
- Prepare and validate support for system uploads to ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency of source data.
- Maintain detailed supporting schedules and workpapers for the consolidation and quarterly reporting package.
- Manage intercompany transactions across global entities, covering both short-term and long-term balances.
- Perform quarterly three-way matching and netting of intercompany balances across entities.
- Monitor intercompany account balances and prepare intercompany reconciliations.
- Manage foreign currency remeasurement and translation adjustments for global entities.
- Record and review cumulative translation adjustments (CTA).
- Maintain foreign exchange (FX) rate tables and update them monthly.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
- Own the preparation of the consolidated statement of cash flows on a monthly basis, including analysis of activities and reconciliation.
- Assist with the holding company balance sheet and income statement, including review of balances, preparation of reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Prepare debt covenant calculations and quarterly fluctuation analysis.
- Serve as a key liaison for internal and external auditors, providing supporting schedules and documentation.
- Maintain process documentation, ensure SOX compliance, and help develop and implement internal control procedures.
- Identify and implement process improvements, including AI and automation, to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the consolidation process.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of accounting systems and processes.
- Support the annual budgeting and rolling forecast process.
- Undertake ad hoc financial analysis and special projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 4+ years of progressive public accounting and/or industry experience, or broad-based accounting experience in a high-growth environment.
- Solid understanding of financial reporting and accounting systems.
- Experience collaborating across a wide range of stakeholders, including internal staff, senior leadership, external partners, and tax and legal advisors.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple time-sensitive projects independently.
- Proactive and communicative — comfortable engaging across all levels of the organization.
- Experience working within non-US, global business environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- 4+ years of progressive Public Accounting and/or Industry experience, or broad-based accounting experience in a hyper-growth environment.
- Ability to solve problems and work independently, handling and prioritizing multiple time-sensitive projects with a firm commitment to meeting deadlines.
- Takes initiative actively engaging with all levels of staff and across all programs/departments.
- Demonstrated success experience in non-US, global culture(s) for work/life.
