About the Role
Reddam House North Shore, an Inspired Education Group school, is expanding and seeking outstanding educators for newly created positions. The Secondary Physics & Chemistry Teacher will guide students from Year 7 to Year 12, delivering high-quality instruction aligned with the NESA curriculum within a nurturing, student-centred environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver inspiring and challenging lessons aligned with the school's curriculum, policies, and external assessment requirements.
- Individualize and differentiate learning to ensure each student is stretched, supported, and makes outstanding progress.
- Regularly assess students' learning and provide targeted feedback to drive progress.
- Establish a positive classroom and school environment where students feel valued and supported.
- Collaborate with colleagues, share best practices, and engage in professional development.
- Play an active role in the school's co-curricular program and contribute to whole school initiatives.
- Maintain open and constructive communication with parents to build strong partnerships.
Requirements
- Proven experience teaching at the secondary level with a solid grasp of NESA curriculum requirements.
- Skilled in one or more Key Learning Areas, with the ability to engage students across diverse learning needs.
- Strong classroom management focused on fostering a positive, disciplined environment.
- Proficient in student assessment and progress reporting.
- Experienced in planning and supervising school events and activities.
- Competent in using educational technologies and creative teaching strategies.
- Passionate about education and committed to the holistic development of students from Years 7–12.
- Creative and inspiring teaching style that motivates learners.
- Patient, empathetic, and supportive of students’ emotional and social well-being.
- Highly organised with excellent time management and attention to detail.
- Collaborative team player who communicates effectively with staff, parents, and stakeholders.
- Resilient and adaptable in dynamic educational settings.
- Valid Working with Children Check.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining NESA accreditation.
- Willingness to assist with lunch/playground supervision and student drop-off/pick-up duties.
- Availability to attend school events outside regular hours.
