About the Role

As a Regional Chaplain, you will travel to various cities to recruit and lead a volunteer Chaplain team, ensuring spiritual support to clients, their families, and staff through phone, home visits, and referrals. This role involves weekly travel to diverse communities and paid travel time with mileage reimbursement.

Responsibilities

  • Provides oversight and support to volunteer Chaplains offering spiritual care to residents and staff.
  • Builds relationships with local faith communities and leaders for collaboration and ministry partnership.
  • Recruits and trains new volunteers to serve as chaplains.
  • Assists with bereavement, memorial services, and activities related to religious and spiritual issues.
  • Submits accurate and timely documentation, updates client records, and provides reports.
  • Attends interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care plans and ensure client progression.
  • Demonstrates and maintains a positive, professional manner.
  • Manages time efficiently and effectively.
  • Provides leadership as a role model to promote a team approach.
  • Collaborates and participates in policy creation and problem-solving.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Ensures all care is provided with respect and dignity for residents/clients, their families, and staff.
  • Reports all complaints and allegations of abuse or misappropriation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be endorsed and in good standing with a denomination as evidenced by a certificate of ordination or certification.
  • Minimum of 12 months experience providing ecumenical approach in pastoral care and client/family counseling.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and be qualified to drive under the organization’s motor vehicle check.
  • Must have exceptional communication skills.
  • Must have strong comprehension and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have strong computer skills and familiarity with MS Outlook, Teams, and Word.
  • Must have the ability to speak, read, write, understand, and make oneself understood in English.
  • Certification of ordination must remain in good standing.
  • Driver's License and auto insurance must remain in good standing.
