About the Role

The Family Programs team seeks four temporary facilitators for the Art Lab, engaging families in creative exploration inspired by modern and contemporary art. This role focuses on direct visitor interaction and play-based learning, not administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate visitor experiences in Art Lab, including greeting, introducing concepts, suggesting activities, and connecting explorations to artists and artworks.
  • Assist with daily maintenance of the space, including cleaning and organizing materials.
  • Collaborate with MoMA Guest Specialists on visitor greeting, information provision, waitlists, and surveys.
  • Support family art making and gallery activations during seasonal UNIQLO Family Days.
  • Undergo a background check as part of MoMA’s Protection of Minors policy.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children and/or families in an informal learning environment.
  • Experience facilitating play.
  • Knowledge of modern and contemporary art and artmaking.
  • Strong front-facing hospitality and engagement skills.
  • Availability to work weekdays and weekends, including peak holiday times.
  • Must submit both a resume and cover letter by July 31, 2026.
