About the Role

The Schwarzkopf Foundation Young Europe strengthens young people in actively shaping democracy and developing European perspectives. Within the "Joint Democracy Building in Early Education" (GeDAB) network, we work to systematically reduce discrimination in early education and strengthen democracy education, ensuring all children have access to early education and structural equity. We focus on fostering exchange between different sectors, increasing visibility of democracy education and participation in daycare centers through targeted public relations, and developing evidence-based recommendations for structural change. We are seeking a student assistant (19 hrs./week) to support our communication and project work, offering insights into an interdisciplinary network of practice, science, and politics.

Responsibilities

  • Support thematic research on democracy education and discrimination reduction in early education.
  • Assist in creating, maintaining, and coordinating content for action catalogs.
  • Support the management and optimization of social media channels, the website, and the newsletter.
  • Assist with funding applications and reports.

Requirements

  • First experience in public relations.
  • Ability to write error-free texts for various target audiences.
  • Willingness to learn new tools and topics.
  • Interest in topics such as democracy education, discrimination reduction, and/or early education.
