About the Role

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk organizes the storage, distribution, and cataloging of physical communications, goods, and services for CCA Campuses. This role ensures accuracy and confidentiality in mail handling and inventory management while supporting daily campus operations. Please note that CCA is transitioning toward a wind-down of operations by the 2027 academic year.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming, interdepartmental, and outgoing mail daily
  • Operate postage meters and routine office equipment
  • Weigh and process outgoing mail for dispatch
  • Prepare and receive courier bags
  • Reconcile discrepancies with the Business Office
  • Communicate with end users regarding missing materials
  • Maintain and submit monthly inventory sheets
  • Tag Fixed Assets and complete required documentation
  • Update receiving systems and verify packing slips against purchase orders
  • Report delivery discrepancies
  • Conduct yearly inventory
  • Maintain a clean shipping and receiving area

Requirements

  • Knowledge of proper operation for related office machinery
  • Knowledge of department locations and organizational structure
  • Knowledge of current postage rates and regulations
  • Ability to accurately sort and distribute large volumes of mail
  • Effective oral communication skills
  • Ability to read and understand written and oral instructions
  • Strong organizational skills to ensure timely project completion
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
  • Must be able to work at either campus mailroom
  • Must contribute to union dues/agency fees per the collective bargaining agreement
  • Submit a cover letter and resume in Word or PDF format

Salary/Compensations

  • $26.00 per hour
