About the Role

Austin Regional Clinic is a growing professional medical group with over 35 locations in Central Texas, recognized as a top employer for over 15 years. We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and completely report and document patient status, care rendered, response to care, provider orders, and contacts with patients and healthcare providers.
• Refill medications following clinic protocols.
• Accurately room patients, document vital signs, and prepare patients for examinations.
• Follow clinic protocols and directions from the nursing team leader or supervisor.
• Perform diagnostic testing including EKGs, audiograms, tympanograms, spirometry, and visual screenings.
• Monitor inventory of medical and office supplies, ensuring proper stocking and ordering as needed.
• Review provider refill requests and assist with daily medication refill requests.
• Review EPIC triage call in basket for any callbacks.
• Clean patient rooms and manage laundry.
• Ensure laundry carts are stocked with fresh linens daily.
• Assist providers with procedures such as sigmoidoscopy exams and cardiac stress testing, including setup, patient preparation, and equipment cleaning.
• Maintain equipment, including autoclaves, sterilizers, and speculums, and check expiration dates.
• Adhere to all company policies, including OSHA, HIPAA, compliance, and Code of Conduct.
• Maintain regular and dependable attendance.
• Follow company core competencies.
• Work required holiday shifts.
• Administer medications and injections.
• Provide direct nursing care and distribute medications and treatments under physician order.
• Teach and counsel patients and families on health assessment, care, disease prevention, and health maintenance.
• Manage vaccines, including ordering, monitoring usage/wastage, maintenance, and completing required documentation.
• Facilitate the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the immunization program.
• Call patients to inform them of lab results.
• Perform patient follow-up activities, including laboratory results, diagnostics, appointments, referrals, medications, and call backs.
• Participate in the orientation of new employees.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduation from an accredited school of vocational nursing.
• Previous experience in an ambulatory or acute care setting preferred.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in the State of Texas.
• Current AHA approved Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course completion card.
• Must maintain a current vocational nursing license and CPR certification during employment.
• Ability to engage others, listen, and adapt responses to meet others’ needs.

• Excellent computer and keyboarding skills, including familiarity with Windows.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
