About the Role
We are looking for a dependable and compassionate Intake Coordinator to join our growing specialty pharmacy team. In this role, you will play a key part in helping patients receive timely access to medications while coordinating important intake and prior authorization activities behind the scenes. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, communicating with patients and healthcare providers, and managing details with accuracy and care in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate medication deliveries with patients and healthcare facilities
- Contact physician offices to secure prior authorizations within designated timeframes
- Process prescription orders received from referral sources by phone and fax
- Maintain accurate patient information within Hub Program databases and spreadsheets
- Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients, providers, and referral partners
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and safety guidelines
- Help keep workflow organized and moving efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and database systems
- Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills
- Reliable, self-motivated, and accountable
- Comfortable working independently in a hybrid setting
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Patient-focused with excellent customer service skills
- Able to manage changing priorities and deadlines effectively
- A strong communicator both verbally and in writing
