About the Role
AbbVie's Virtual Sales operation is a professional team supporting sales, operational, and marketing initiatives. We build lasting relationships with Healthcare Practices nationwide using approved best practices and quality metrics. Responsibilities
- Use virtual sales techniques to offer product education, program/service information, samples, and resources to healthcare professionals, meeting and exceeding daily and monthly call volume metrics.
- Complete product training and meet expectations to service customers within program parameters.
- Facilitate account management skills including account planning, field resource coordination, closing, supporting customer education, and reporting.
- Engage healthcare professionals with in-depth informational/promotional communications in accordance with policies and compliance guidelines to grow prescription volume.
- Establish phone presence, create rapport, and grow relationships with healthcare professionals and their staff.
- Demonstrate thorough product knowledge and communicate product information clearly, concisely, and accurately using appropriate clinical terminology.
- Listen and respond appropriately to customer needs and questions to ensure acceptance of program objectives.
- Process customer requests for product information, cost and savings, samples, and literature in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
- Answer questions related to the process of securing product samples and literature.
- Provide information on additional resources for products and services, such as websites.
- Display a positive attitude and customer focus, providing timely resolution for customer issues, concerns, and/or questions.
- Project a professional and positive company image through all phone interactions.
- Manage inbound and outbound call activity effectively, ensuring adequate coverage of inbound call volume.
- Navigate phone conversations with approved best practices and according to compliance guidelines.
- Understand systems and accurately enter all relevant information, including follow-up actions, in accordance with policies and procedures, ensuring data integrity.
- Collaborate with team members to determine strategic sales approaches and maintain required product expertise.
- Partner with Field Sales, Operations, and Marketing to identify methods to improve effectiveness.
- Meet and exceed established daily, weekly, and monthly outbound call volume metrics and other productivity goals.
- Manage a targeted list of healthcare professionals, providing value-added benefits to grow product volume.
- Manage daily sales call activity to optimize time and maximize sales objectives.
- Identify, prioritize, and drive opportunities to create access, programs, and processes that drive demand.
- Communicate effectively and timely with Manager.
- Follow established escalation pathways for issue resolution.
- Maintain training materials and job aids, keeping current with updates.
- Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality by following HIPAA guidelines.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of customer service and/or sales experience.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Highly organized.
- Superior communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to learn and assimilate information to follow established, mandatory best practices.
- Proficient usage of applications, databases, and other core tools.
- Ability to maintain strict quality control standards and performance monitoring.
- Ability to provide input on call quality, job aids, and targeted opportunities for ongoing improvement.
- Effectiveness working independently and in a team environment.
- Must safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality by following HIPAA guidelines.
