About the Role

Join DiVal Safety Equipment's Training Division in Buffalo, New York. This role focuses on providing training to internal and external clients to reduce workplace injuries related to chemicals, physical or biological substances, and ergonomics. Responsibilities include auditing workplaces for hazards, developing solutions, and communicating risk mitigation strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform training, both onsite and offsite.
  • Perform Respiratory Fit Testing.
  • Perform Industrial Hygiene – Technician level work (Sampling, Field Observations).
  • Survey of work environments and job tasks as it pertains to safety.
  • Participate in trade shows representing the Training Department, potentially including educational presentations.
  • Perform onsite safety oversight.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Represent DiVal Safety professionally and positively at all times.
  • Ability to conduct classes, speak in front of groups, and public speaking.
  • Critical thinking skills for developing solutions to safety issues.
  • Possess a positive attitude.
  • Proficient in using computers, printers, mobile devices, and related office equipment.
  • Proficient in Windows 10, Office 2010 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Internet Explorer or newer versions.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 30-40 lbs repetitively.
  • Occasional overnight travel required.
