About the Role
This role is responsible for building long-term, value-based relationships with accounts, growing existing businesses, and identifying new opportunities within your customer portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Improve Univar’s position within each account using consultative and in-depth selling at all levels within the account.
- Plan and prepare effectively to deliver impactful sales calls, communicate value, overcome objections, negotiate confidently, and close opportunities.
- Leverage knowledge of our product portfolio and service capabilities to provide value-added solutions tailored to customer needs.
- Drive customer retention and long-term growth by building strong relationships and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline, ensuring opportunities are actively managed and progressed through the sales cycle.
- Utilize Salesforce to manage customer information during all planning phases.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of sales experience managing accounts in the Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants and Elastomers (raw chemicals) or Performance Materials industry.
- Sales experience in manufacturing, distribution, industrial, or chemical industry sales is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated competitive drive.
- Strong business savvy, including an understanding of the business relationship between manufacturers, distributors, and end-users of chemical products and services.
- Well-honed listening skills and a problem-solving mindset to uncover needs and motivations to overcome objections to closing a sale.
- Effective negotiation skills with the ability to communicate value and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes for customers and Univar.
- Ability to travel within the assigned territory.
- Valid driver´s license required.

Salary/Compensations
- $90,000 to $120,000 CAD
