About the Role
Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all creative artworking and production activities within the Operational Marketing team. Drive the end-to-end production of high-impact creative assets across various customer touchpoints, ensuring brand consistency and commercial excellence.
Responsibilities
- Oversee print production team, ensuring accurate artworking and creative execution in line with brand guidelines for channels including weekly leaflets, in-store posters, national press advertising, digital signage, and local store marketing.
- Manage digital content team, focusing on SEO-first content, weekly product listings, and newsletters aligned with digital strategy.
- Implement digital transformation for international projects and manage associated projects within GB, collaborating with OMD and CRM teams.
- Implement strategy and processes for efficient production and digital channel roadmaps, collaborating with stakeholders and international partners.
- Identify and resolve off-brand communications through collaboration with the Creative Executive Consultant.
- Serve as the main point of contact for escalations and troubleshooting across creative production and digital channels, acting as a deputy to the Head of Department.
- Promote an efficient production mentality by reusing internal or international content, ensuring brand alignment and challenging processes for efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with internal and industry guidelines and standards.
- Collaborate with Strategy, Campaigns, and Brand Engagement teams, providing consultation on content planning and resource feasibility.
- Engage proactively with stakeholders to deliver against brand, commercial, and customer needs.
- Monitor and evaluate creative and digital production against KPIs, reporting strategic highlights and recommendations.
- Manage production agency relationships, establishing and optimizing workflows for efficient partnerships.
- Plan and reconcile the Operational Marketing budget monthly, managing agency fees and production costs.
- Plan resources and personnel to meet business needs within the production and digital function.
- Develop the team in alignment with Lidl leadership principles.
Requirements
- Experience in a fast-paced role with extensive multi-tasking and prioritizing.
- Demonstrable knowledge of artworking and digital production processes.
- Proven leadership skills with line management of large teams.
- Ability to communicate and influence at a senior level.
- Demonstrated commercial awareness and understanding.
- Strong interpersonal and social skills, including influencing and conflict management.
