About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Business Data Analyst to join our Digital Product Management team. This role is responsible for providing comprehensive business and product support for Data management, collaborating with various teams to support their data automation needs.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for assigned business projects in the deployment of new data and reporting solutions.
- Lead projects with a higher degree of complexity, acting as the liaison between business and technology teams.
- Lead the facilitation of defining and documenting business needs and processes end-to-end with business units.
- Utilize activity diagrams, use case scenarios, flowcharts, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, interviews, and workflow analysis to create and manage requirements.
- Gather information from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, disseminate high-level information into details, and distinguish user requests from their true needs.
- Identify, define, and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, and levels of systems access after consulting with business SMEs.
- Use standard templates to develop requirement specifications (BRDs, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria), updating templates as needed and proactively making recommendations for improvement.
- Act as a key supporting resource in data analysis and statistical analysis using complex information from various sources, presenting data in simple and concise reports.
- Work closely with management teams and business partners to ensure the roadmap is continuously maintained, considering current and future states, and updating the roadmap with new business requirements/needs.
- Function as a liaison between technology teams, support teams, and business units.
- Deliver work products throughout the Agile life-cycle.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in STEM programs, including Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business, or other related disciplines.
- In-depth knowledge of financial concepts and the capital market, wealth management, and asset management domain knowledge.
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant data analytical experience.
- Experienced user of Data Warehouse and Cloud Environment such as Azure.
- Proficiency working with business intelligence, analytics, and reporting tools such as Tableau, Python, R, SQL, and Power BI.
- Strong understanding of data management.
- Strong analytical skills and statistical analysis with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate important information with attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to provide advice and guidance and present information clearly and concisely to all levels within the organization, including executives.
- Ability to interact professionally with management and professionals at various levels.
- Ability to work with minimal direction, prioritize multiple projects, coach and assist others, and meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively in ambiguous and changing environments and a desire to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Clear and efficient communicator in both technical and non-technical environments; deliver informative and well-organized presentations.
