About the Role

Events and Ministry Coordinators create and provide an excellent Apartment Life (AL) experience to residents and staff in an apartment community. Coordinators are passionate about the vision and mission of AL, combining this passion with skill to plan excellent events, provide exceptional communication, and offer genuine care and hospitality. This is a volunteer position that provides significantly reduced housing costs, with coordinators paying a reduced monthly program fee for their apartment instead of receiving wages.

Responsibilities

Plan and host 2 events each month for residents to foster care, connection, and community engagement.
Provide a caring touch to residents and staff with the help of residents and community support.
Enhance online reputation by inviting residents to share their experiences.
Develop marketing materials for activities, including calendars, flyers, and social media posts.
Manage the event budget process.
Prepare monthly summaries.
Meet with staff and program director for planning, equipping, and development.
Engage a support team of volunteers, vendors, and community partners to maximize impact.
Visit new residents and those nearing the end of their lease to connect with them.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Be legally eligible to work in the United States.
Possess basic English fluency for marketing and reporting.
Hold a current driver's license, liability insurance, and reliable transportation.
Be physically able to perform job duties including bending, standing, and carrying up to 25 pounds.
Have availability for weekly hours, primarily evenings and weekends.
Be able to commit to the minimum term for serving in the apartment community.
