About the Role
The Financial Close team is seeking a highly motivated manager to join the Controllers group's transformative initiative to become trusted, value-added business partners delivering financial results in a whole new way through best-in-class people, processes, and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Support the optimization and automation of accounts payable processes, including invoice entry, payment processing, and help desk functions, by leading initiatives to improve operational efficiency through process re-engineering and technology adoption.
- Collaborate closely with Procurement and Treasury teams as needed.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support enterprise-wide initiatives impacting accounts payable, such as SAP integrations and enhancements.
- Contribute to the management of project lifecycles, from requirements gathering and solution design through successful implementation and ongoing support.
- Design, develop, implement, and manage automated dashboards to track key performance indicators, provide operational insights, and contribute to effective team capacity management.
- Support the financial close process to ensure timely, accurate, and complete results.
- Partner with various business unit stakeholders to understand the business.
- Evaluate and analyze financial results.

- Prepare, review, or approve month-end transactional processes.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting, Business Administration/Commerce, or a related field.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in Finance/Accounting or a related field.
- Solid proficiency in MS applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Solid proficiency in automation and artificial intelligence.
- Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions offered in Quebec.
Skills
- CPA designation considered an asset.
- Working knowledge of SAP-FI, SAP-BI, and related accounting systems considered an asset.
- Understanding of end-to-end accounts payable processes and systems, including invoice processing, payment execution, vendor support, reconciliation, and compliance, also considered an asset.
- Innovative mindset: Ability to support a culture of innovation – personal interest in developing in the latest digital and technological trends.
- Process Improvement and Re-engineering: Ability to analyze existing workflows, identify inefficiencies, and design optimized future processes to drive automation and efficiency.
- Project Management: Experience managing project lifecycles, including requirements gathering, solution design, and implementation.
- Change Management: Skill in guiding teams and stakeholders through significant process and system transformations, ensuring adoption and minimizing disruption.
- Communication: Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Collaboration and Relationship Building: Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and business partners.
- Prioritization and Adaptability: Ability to manage competing priorities, adapt to changing requirements, and deliver quality results in a fast-paced environment.
- Ownership and Accountability: Demonstrated sense of ownership, initiative, and accountability.
