About the Role

Organizes, coordinates, and schedules the efficient, cost-effective, and timely production of manufactured products. Supports the business unit through the maintenance and analysis of cost data to ascertain variances and prepare reports.

Responsibilities

  • Manages Production Control database administration and monitoring of production reporting for accuracy.
  • Schedules manufactured finished goods and special orders.
  • Assists with the design, development, and maintenance of programs for information sharing between manufacturing, engineering, purchasing, and sales.
  • Participates in the continual development of methods for improving scheduling procedures, increasing productivity, and realizing cost reduction opportunities.
  • Classifies labor, material, and overhead costs to compute the unit cost of product or service.
  • Records cost data for management use in controlling expenditures.
  • Conducts and analyzes audits of costs and prepares reports; compiles cost data for operating budget preparation.
  • Analyzes actual costs versus standard costs and prepares reports of variances.
  • Prepares estimates of new or proposed product costs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Comprehensive experience with financial analysis, cost accounting, and auditing.
  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and MRP software (SAP).
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills to interact with multiple departments throughout the organization (Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, Sales).
  • Solid organizational skills and the ability to exercise judgment while handling multiple priorities.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location.
