About the Role
Snap Inc is seeking an Android Engineer to build sophisticated, high-performance mobile products that reach millions of users. You will work across the full development lifecycle, leveraging AI-driven workflows to design and ship scalable features while maintaining high standards for security and code quality.
Responsibilities
- Push the limits of mobile devices to create high-quality user experiences
- Build smooth, stable, and engaging products
- Develop features from initial design through implementation and launch
- Evaluate technical tradeoffs and collaborate with design on UI and infrastructure practices
- Perform code reviews to ensure high code quality
- Utilize AI tools and high-velocity workflows to design and ship scalable services
- Uphold rigorous standards for code correctness, security, and production-ready quality
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience
- 6+ years of post-Bachelor’s software development experience
- Master’s degree in a technical field plus 5+ years of post-grad software development experience
- PhD in a relevant technical field plus 2 years of post-grad software development experience
- Experience with Android application development
- Proficiency in leveraging AI tools for development with the ability to audit output for integrity and security
- Ability to work in an office 4+ days per week
