About the Role

The Business Leader, Regional Finance will be a strategic value-added business partner supporting the Canadian market, leading the financial planning and analysis function within the region. This role is key in strategy development, financial and performance management, and data-driven decision support.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the financial planning and reporting process to ensure presentation through a strategic lens.
  • Support objective setting to create alignment of objectives across the organization.
  • Deal design, development and negotiation to ensure structuring of sound business cases to support business growth.
  • Continue to improve in-region and corporate financial analysis and reporting, providing enhanced analytics and data-driven decision support.
  • Oversee the development and reporting analytics for Key Performance Indicators: financial, market share, merchant penetration and category analysis.
  • Work with Product, Marketing, Issuing and Acquiring teams to address data analytics needs.
  • Focus on working with the Global Products & Solutions organization to further develop product profitability and business casing capabilities.
  • Lead the management reporting, including monthly financial results, quarterly forecasting, and annual budgeting.
  • Develop and manage relationships in a complex matrixed organization with business partners at multiple career levels.
  • Enhance business/account manager's business acumen, financial know-how, and understanding of business case modeling/structuring sound business cases to support business growth.

Requirements

  • Have business planning experience.
  • Have developed financial models to support business strategies.
  • Have experience as a financial lead in a matrixed global organization, presenting complex financial information to senior management.

Skills

  • Excellent understanding of reporting, forecasting and budgeting techniques.
  • Broad understanding of different finance disciplines.
  • Strong quantitative skills.
  • Expert in PC skills – Excel, PowerPoint, Hyperion/Oracle.
  • Good commercial sense/business acumen.
  • Strategic thinker.
  • Confidence and experience to challenge ideas at all levels.
  • Executive presence.
  • Superior communications, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with and influence people across a matrixed organization at all levels.
  • Ambitious, highly driven and motivated.
  • People management experience.

Salary/Compensations

  • Toronto, Canada: $138,000 - $221,000 CAD
