About the Role
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will own the end-to-end implementation of Signal 1’s platform, AIMS, within partner health systems. You will embed with their teams, connect to secure data systems, understand their AI models and clinical workflows, and build tailored monitoring and governance solutions. You will also develop bespoke AI solutions, including agentic systems, to automate and enhance clinical and operational workflows. Your work will directly impact patient outcomes by ensuring AI safety and reliability in a healthcare setting. Insights gained from the field will be used to improve the platform for all partners.
Responsibilities
- Lead the deployment of Signal 1's platform and solutions across multiple health systems
- Understand AI use cases (predictive, generative, agentic) deployed across a health system
- Recommend key metrics to monitor for each AI use case and onboard them to AIMS
- Develop agentic solutions to improve healthcare workflows and solve customer pain points
- Coordinate across multiple stakeholders and drive alignment to onboard applications end to end
- Work autonomously and collaboratively with Data, Governance, ML, and Engineering teams
- Turn recurring patterns from the field into reusable building blocks to enhance the platform
Requirements
- Experience delivering complex AI systems in production or customer-facing settings
- Strong grounding in AI/ML, with the ability to design and implement robust solutions
- Ability to reason rigorously about model behavior and evaluation in production
- Hands-on experience building LLM-based systems
- Solid backend development skills
- Strong programming experience in Python, Java, or similar
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Comfort working independently in fast-paced environments
- Highly client-facing with excellent communication skills
- Proven ability to build and grow strong client relationships with non-technical stakeholders
