About the Role

Confidential Crisis Response supports clients facing kidnapping-for-ransom, threat extortion, and other crises. This role involves research and analysis within the Special Risks Analysis team, contributing to a world-leading database of kidnap-for-ransom incidents.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the kidnap-for-ransom incident database.
  • Update past case records to enhance future operational capabilities.
  • Conduct research to identify and record kidnap-for-ransom and extortion incidents.
  • Identify and share relevant information with Senior Analysts, Response Management, or Consultants.
  • Write updates and refresh background content for the Seerist subscription platform.
  • Perform research to support client advice during live kidnap and extortion cases.
  • Provide research support to regional Analysts for client consulting tasks.
  • Identify opportunities for improving data capture.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of research techniques.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written English.
  • Ability to conduct research in French.
  • Developed research skills.
  • Competence in Office 365 suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy.
  • Ability to understand and summarize large amounts of information.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Ability to conduct research in other foreign languages (preferred).
  • Proactively resolve issues and escalate when necessary.
  • Use creativity to think outside the box.
  • Adapt knowledge and analysis to provide effective client solutions.
