About the Role
Meriwether Godsey is seeking a Part-time Cafeteria/Food Service Worker for a private men's college in Farmville, VA. This role offers opportunities for growth and advancement in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers with a positive and friendly attitude.
- Operate registers, scanners, scales, and credit card/debit card terminals, handling exchanges efficiently.
- Transport food and supplies to the cafeteria area, assisting with setup, maintenance, and breakdown.
- Serve and replenish food from counters and steam tables.
- Assist in food preparation and properly store food, adhering to temperature and spoilage requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of cafeteria and kitchen areas.
- Clean and sanitize work areas, dining tables, chairs, and equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas following daily and weekly assignments.
- Inspect workstations for compliance with service standards.
- Participate in safety meetings, training, and hazard assessments.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to switch between job duties.
- Reliable Transportation.
