About the Role
The PM server is responsible for guiding guests through The Lake House Experience, acting as a communicator, decision-maker, and entertainer while proactively providing customer service.
Responsibilities
- Setup Food and Beverage areas including linen, service ware, and glassware.
- Serve food and/or beverages professionally.
- Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Promptly remove dishes as guests complete each course and/or meal.
- Make proficient sales transactions within Lightspeed.
- Replenish beverages as necessary and check guest satisfaction.
- Run food orders.
- Handle cash and other forms of payment.
- Properly check IDs for guests who appear to be under 40.
- Demonstrate responsible alcohol service.
- Demonstrate impeccable product knowledge of both Food and Beverage.
- Perform opening, closing, and side duties such as setting up/breaking down stations, refilling condiments, and cleaning.
- Know all table/seat numbers.
- Escort guests to the restroom when able.
- Create “WOW” moments by collecting detailed information.
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Be able to work varying schedules.
- Attend all scheduled training and departmental sessions.
- Arrive in the assigned work area on time in full, clean, and pressed assigned uniform for the scheduled shift.
- Perform and complete any and all assigned tasks by management.
- Be totally familiar with hotel operations/locations and be able to direct guests and answer guest questions about general facilities.
Requirements
- One year of experience required in a previous server position.
- Must be able to demonstrate effective communication.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
