About the Role

The Community Manager will oversee all business operations at one of our apartment communities. The successful candidate will possess strong resident relations and interpersonal skills and will have the ability to communicate effectively, take charge, lead, train, be dependable, professional, and a team player.

Responsibilities

  • Leads property staff, conducting candidate interviews, overseeing onboarding, training, timesheet approval, and conducting quarterly discussions and annual assessments.
  • Drives team to achieve performance indicators, offering feedback to underperforming associates, and manages disciplinary actions in collaboration with HR.
  • Conducts ongoing training with office staff, covering leasing paperwork, workplace safety, and other daily operational needs.
  • Motivates associates through recognition programs, training, and team-building activities.
  • Assists in budget preparation and ensures adherence to approved budgets.
  • Completes month-end and year-end financial reporting and provides monthly budget variance reporting.
  • Promotes resident satisfaction and retention by promptly responding to complaints, questions, and requests.
  • Collaborates with the property maintenance team to ensure prompt responses and completion of resident service requests.
  • Provides excellent customer service while maintaining the highest standards for resident service.
  • Analyzes and interprets market and economic trends and partners with marketing to implement leasing strategies.
  • Follows eviction procedures, including notice requirements, court representation, and facilitating proceedings.
  • Manages the client/owner relationship by meeting with owners, conducting property tours, providing updates, and responding to owner requests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or 1-2 years of relevant experience; or a combination of education and experience.
  • 3 + years of related multi-family property management experience.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Team player, professional, and effective communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software.
  • Must be able to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse and other office equipment.
  • Employment with RPM Living is contingent upon successful completion of a background check.
  • A valid driver’s license is preferred.
