About the Role

As a Milk Bar Nomad Classroom Teacher, you are responsible for consistently delivering an exceptional Milk Bar guest experience during all classes and experiences. A positive attitude is key to ensure every participant leaves with a smile. This role serves as a Milk Bar champion, demo teacher, and host all in one.

Responsibilities

• Teach a full range of public classes and private events.
• Perform pre-class preparation and post-class breakdown, including preparing class mise-en-place and ensuring ingredients are fresh and ready.
• Partner with other departments on creating organizational systems.
• Assist with product ordering, checking orders, and maintaining inventory of merchandise.
• Partner with commissary staff.
• Complete end-of-class and event communication logs.
• Maintain cleanliness of the classroom space, including washing items and prepping for the next event.
• Engage and captivate guests to ensure they have the best possible experience.
• Assist Classes teams with completing side work checklists during slow periods, without interfering with the guest experience.
• Perform Nomad Classes side work, including preparing frosting and crumbs for cakes.
• Fully understand and exhibit the Milk Bar ethos, embodying core values and inspiring celebration.
• Serve as a brand ambassador, both internally and externally.

Requirements

• Experience and comfort with entertaining and instructing an audience.
• Knowledge of and comfort with baking techniques, equipment, and tools is a plus.
• Ability to build relationships and embrace change.
• Efficient time management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
• Regular in-person attendance is an essential function and requirement of this position.
