About the Role
The Facilities Manager is responsible for leading, coordinating, and executing facilities operations across multiple sites, including manufacturing, corporate offices, and warehouses. This role ensures all facilities are safe, functional, compliant, and well-maintained, supporting operational efficiency and business continuity.
Responsibilities
- Assign, schedule, prioritize, and oversee all work assignments for the Facilities Department across multiple sites.
- Lead facilities operations for manufacturing, corporate office, warehouse, and ancillary locations.
- Manage and execute infrastructure-related projects involving building systems, renovations, repairs, capital improvements, and preventative maintenance.
- Provide project management support for company events, coordinating facility preparation, setup, breakdown, and restoration.
- Oversee the service, repair, and preventative maintenance of company-owned vehicles.
- Maintain accountability for Farm Team (Lawns & Grounds) operations.
- Oversee and manage third-party vendors and contractors.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, manufacturing equipment, lighting, electrical systems, plumbing, and other facility-related issues.
- Develop and implement energy reduction initiatives and manage electric and gas usage assessments.
- Support management with facilities oversight for offsite and leased properties.
- Ensure compliance with EPA, DEC, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Lead and conduct Maintenance and Housekeeping Team meetings, safety training, and ongoing skills development initiatives.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required
- Vocational or Technical training (HVAC/R) required
- EPA Section 608 Certification preferred
- 3–5 years of supervisory or leadership experience required
- 8+ years of experience in a similar facilities or maintenance management role required
- Experience supporting manufacturing, warehouse, and office environments strongly preferred
- Driver’s License
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as well as on an on-call basis as needed
- Ability to work out of multiple locations with some travel between sites
Skills
- Strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical systems, and building infrastructure
- Solid understanding of OSHA safety standards, regulatory compliance, and best practices
- Proven ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and solve complex facility-related problems
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and changing environment
- Effective communication and leadership skills
- Ability to collaborate across departments
