About the Role
McCormick Canada is seeking a Machine Operator to join their Operations team. This role involves operating production machines, assisting with maintenance and changeovers, performing sanitation, tracking production statistics, performing quality checks, troubleshooting packaging equipment, and adhering to safety policies.
Responsibilities
- Supply and operate various production machines
- Assist in routine equipment maintenance and change overs
- Perform sanitation procedures
- Assist in generating and tracking production statistics
- Maintain quality standards by performing quality checks
- Trouble shoot packaging equipment components
- Work safely and follow all in-place policies and procedures
Requirements
- OSSD diploma or equivalent and successful passing of basic qualification testing
- Ability to safely perform physical work, including, pushing, pulling, and lifting to 50lbs repetitively
- Ability to work overtime and in a fast-paced environment
- Possess strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately complete paperwork and data input in a fast-paced environment
Skills
- Relevant mechanical experience
- Experience with operating automatic and semi-automatic filling and packaging equipment
- SAP knowledge
