About the Role
Trans Mountain is seeking a motivated, collaborative, and values-driven individual to join their dynamic team as a Pipeline Integrity Technician. In this role, you will contribute to accurately identifying and protecting Trans Mountain assets from external mechanical damage during ground disturbances, while assisting stakeholders in understanding safe practices around these assets.
Responsibilities
- Communicate Trans Mountain pipeline integrity standards and practices to Trans Mountain employees and third parties.
- Respond to One Call excavation notices, including all required documentation.
- Inspect the site of activities occurring on or near Trans Mountain right-of-way to ensure compliance and enforcement of Trans Mountain pipeline protection zones and right-of-way excavation conditions.
- Represent Trans Mountain in public forums to enhance awareness of damage prevention issues.
- Analyze, interpret, and utilize graphics and other information contained in drawings or generated by GIS technology.
- Locate pipelines using an IG, GPS, and pipe locator equipment.
- Inspect right-of-way for compliance with Trans Mountain’s signage program.
- Perform periodic review and provide feedback on Trans Mountain operational documentation, including work plans, procedures, and planning.
- Perform operational tasks as required, including paperwork, sample container replacement, implementation, and scheduling.

- Travel may be required.
- A valid passport is required and must be able to travel to Canada for required training.
- A valid state driver’s license is required and must be able to provide a 10-year driving record.
