About the Role
The Suites Floor Supervisor oversees event-day operations for assigned suites, ensuring high-quality hospitality service for suite holders and guests. This supervisory role directs bargaining unit staff, supports revenue goals, and maintains a seamless suite experience in collaboration with management.
Responsibilities
- Supervise suite attendants and other suite-based service staff, providing direction and monitoring performance.
- Oversee pre-event suite preparation, verifying setup, cleanliness, and equipment readiness.
- Monitor in-event service delivery, ensuring timely food and beverage service and guest engagement.
- Oversee post-event breakdown processes, ensuring accurate documentation of inventory and consumption.
- Ensure accurate recording of suite consumption and review discrepancies.
- Create and implement service and sales incentives to motivate staff and drive satisfaction.
- Maximize labor effectiveness by coordinating staff deployment based on demand.
- Train and coach suite staff on service standards, product knowledge, and responsible alcohol service.
- Assist with suite management systems, reviewing entries and escalating issues.
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints, escalating complex issues when appropriate.
- Collaborate with culinary, bar, and operations teams for timely order delivery.
- Ensure all staff adhere to company and regulatory policies, including responsible alcohol service and safety.
- Support continuous improvement by sharing feedback and participating in enhancement initiatives.
Requirements
- Previous supervisory or lead experience in suites, premium hospitality, catering, or fine dining.
- Experience in a stadium, arena, hotel, or large-scale event environment is an asset.
- Smart Serve certification and minimum legal serving age as required in Ontario.
- Basic understanding of inventory and consumption tracking in a food and beverage context.
- Working knowledge of safe food handling standards; food handler certification is an asset.
- Familiarity with unionized environments and the boundaries between supervisory duties and bargaining unit work.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts based on the event schedule.
