About the Role

As a data engineer, you will help clients find answers in their data to impact important missions from fraud detection to cancer research, to national intelligence. You'll develop and deploy the pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful. You'll work with a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced and agile environment, sharpening your skills in analytical exploration and data examination while supporting the assessment, design, development, and maintenance of scalable platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful.
  • Support the assessment, design, development, and maintenance of scalable platforms.
  • Retrieve, parse, and process structured and unstructured data using SQL and Python.
  • Develop scalable ETL or ELT workflows for reporting and analytics using cloud-based technologies.
  • Develop scripts and programs for converting various types of data into usable formats.
  • Scale, monitor, and operate data platforms.
  • Perform backend SQL and NoSQL database testing, including post-deployment and data validation testing.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Data Warehouse development
  • 3+ years of experience with data analysis of aggregated data from multiple sources in cloud-based environments
  • 2+ years of experience developing and maintaining scalable data stores that supply big data in forms needed for business analysis
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
