About the Role
The Supervisor role at JD Sports is part of the store's Junior Management team, providing managerial support to enhance customer service and maintain shop floor standards. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the junior management team to attract, engage, and motivate customers through visual merchandising techniques.
- Achieve business results and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Handle customer complaints and inquiries to provide excellent customer service.
- Create innovative strategies to capitalize on sales opportunities.
- Assist with maintaining standards on the sales floor.
- Encourage and foster personal progression throughout the store.
- Manage associates in accordance with company guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Assist with the induction and training of new starters.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of retail management experience.
- Openness to feedback and a willingness to develop.
- High sense of urgency and a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to positively motivate team members to drive daily sales and meet weekly objectives.
- Ability to mitigate issues through problem-solving and troubleshooting.
- Ability to multi-task and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Well-rounded knowledge of both in-house and global brands (e.g., Nike, Lacoste, Adidas, The North Face).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- IT skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel are an asset.
