About the Role
Lantern is looking for a Sr. Full Stack Engineer to join our fast-growing Member Experience team. In this role, you will build and evolve our core member-facing platforms across web, mobile, and backend services, helping deliver scalable, reliable experiences that improve how our members interact with Lantern's services.
Responsibilities
- Build and own member-facing functionality across our web application, mobile app, and supporting backend services from design through release.
- Contribute to sound technical design decisions and help maintain standards for architecture, performance, accessibility, testability, and maintainability.
- Partner on reusable business logic, design consistency, and seamless experiences across web and mobile platforms where it adds value.
- Build and integrate solutions with .NET / C# services and Microsoft Azure to deliver secure, reliable, observable, and scalable systems.
- Translate product requirements into thoughtful technical solutions that improve navigation, engagement, and service for Lantern members.
- Participate actively in code reviews, technical discussions, and mentoring while helping raise the quality bar across the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production software in product-focused environments.
- Strong expertise in TypeScript, React, and modern front-end development.
- Experience building and supporting production-grade applications using React Native.
- Experience building or integrating backend solutions using .NET / C# and working with applications that run on Microsoft Azure.
- Hands-on familiarity with Tailwind CSS and/or NativeWind, reusable component patterns, and polished user experience implementation.
- Experience working across front-end, mobile, APIs, integrations, and cloud environments in a collaborative product team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, product, design, and business stakeholders.
- Understand the member and business impact behind technical decisions, not just the implementation details.
- Move comfortably between technical design, hands-on problem solving, and delivery support.
- Bring structure to ambiguous problems, align teammates, and move important work forward with sound judgment.
- Take responsibility for outcomes, raise the bar for quality, and contribute positively to team execution.
- Experience building or integrating AI / LLM-powered product features such as chat, guided workflows, copilots, or search-driven experiences.
