About the Role
A Business Banking Officer at CNB works independently and in conjunction with Community Offices to identify opportunities to grow and retain business. The role involves achieving quarterly personal sales goals, acquiring new business, and meeting annual net new closed commercial loan production. The officer will also manage and grow a small commercial loan portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Achieve quarterly personal sales goals.
- Acquire new business.
- Achieve annual net new closed commercial loan production.
- Manage and grow a small commercial loan portfolio.
- Proactively reach out to businesses within assigned branch footprints.
- Utilize Centers of Influence to bring new business opportunities to CNB.
- Assist Branch Manager and staff with all components of lending.
- Make calls to existing clients and prospects regarding CNB products and services.
- Attend outside events as a representative of CNB and the Business Banking Unit.
- Coordinate and present at outside training opportunities.
- Identify prospects for ACH and RDC origination products and refer to internal commercial contact.
- Partner with co-workers across all lines of business to identify synergy opportunities.
- Provide origination services for commercial mortgage, business start-up and SBA loans.
- Coordinate loan closings with Relationship Managers.
- Actively manage client portfolio as assigned.
Requirements
- A B.S. or B.A. degree in Business, or related field required.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in sales and service.
- Experience in business banking or commercial lending required.

- $94,000 - $110,000
