About the Role

The OVERNIGHT Sanitation Professional is a key position within the Facilities Department, ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for the Bread Alone team by focusing on sanitation and food safety for the entire Bakery. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to perform repetitive tasks, and teamwork. Responsibilities include mopping, sweeping, dishwashing, setting up production stations, and routine sanitary checks.

Responsibilities

Gain a solid working knowledge of Bread Alone's facility, safety & sanitation policies and standards.
Ensure all areas of the Bakery are in compliance with the Food Safety program.
Provide and maintain quality sanitation standards within cleaning specifications.
Adhere to safety and sanitation specific checklists addressing daily tasks and procedures.
Operate large and small pieces of equipment and machinery according to instructions (power washer, vacuum, commercial dishwasher, cannon carts).
Perform manual and mechanical sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing of facility flooring as assigned.
Perform end-of-day cleanup and breakdown, leaving specified areas clean and orderly.
Manage daily refuse removal adhering to composting, recycling, and garbage policies.
Ensure proper chemical use, storage, and equipment usage and storage.
Recognize and report any facility and equipment maintenance needs appropriately to leadership.

Requirements

Ability to drive box truck is a plus.
Previous sanitation experience is a plus.
Possess a strong critical eye for cleaning food production equipment.
Ability to work at height.
Able to stand for long periods of time while executing tasks quickly and accurately.
Able to work in a physically demanding fast-paced environment.
Able to tolerate exposure to high levels of heat and cold.
Able to twist and bend repeatedly for long periods of time.
