About the Role
The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for standardizing and continuously improving quality assurance practices across software development efforts. This role oversees testing and debugging activities, identifies root causes of defects, and develops reliable, scalable fixes. The position involves researching and resolving complex software-related issues and providing recommendations to enhance performance, stability, and maintainability. The Senior Software Engineer begins to influence departmental strategy by contributing to architecture discussions, development best practices, and long-term technology planning.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and support scalable software applications and services
- Lead and standardize quality assurance and testing practices
- Oversee debugging efforts and implement effective, long-term fixes
- Investigate and resolve complex production and software issues
- Make technical decisions regarding architecture, tools, and implementation strategies
- Provide strong technical leadership and mentorship to engineers across the team
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver high-quality, consumer-focused solutions
- Contribute to engineering strategy and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Strong software development experience, with a proven ability to design and build complex solutions
- Hands-on experience with API and .NET development
- Experience working with Apigee Hybrid
- Experience with Kafka and event-driven or integration-based architectures
- Full-stack development experience
- Demonstrated strong technical leadership skills
- 5 or more years of experience designing, developing, and testing software applications and/or infrastructure
- Experience developing software in a large, enterprise environment
