About the Role
The Manager for Security Access and Facility Operations will serve as the primary point of contact for all Residential Life physical security programs and manage electronic access systems. This role supports operational effectiveness through customer service, safety and security access processes, student maintenance requests, and purchasing oversight.
Responsibilities
- Manage security access control and key management for residential facilities.
- Oversee procurement and inventory management for supplies and equipment exceeding $1 million annually.
- Administer work orders and coordinate responses to service requests.
- Coordinate vendors and monitor contracts.
- Support business operations with a student workforce.
- Lead security systems and access control innovation.
- Develop a responsive operations and customer service model for Housing.
- Manage various forms of security hardware, including key and card entry locks.
- Assist in maintaining a 250+-IP base camera security system.
- Process over 20 lock changes daily in accordance with key control procedures.
- Manage the department’s electronic key boxes and inventory system.
- Maintain official data and reports on issues and safety concerns.
- Support dispatch with maintenance requests, emergency calls, and customer concerns.
- Assign and ensure completion of work orders by custodial staff, maintenance staff, or off-campus vendors.
- Maintain requests and database for the Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Assist in the management of student staff and establish an after-hours customer service program.
- Act as front-line support for students, parents, vendors, and university staff regarding maintenance concerns.
- Participate in training of staff in security matters for Housing.
- Serve as the main contact for procurement of supplies, services, and equipment.
- Backup for custodial supply purchases and receivables.
- Assist in managing university contracts for security systems.
- Maintain records for all transactions through the departmental CMMS and university database.
- Assist in the management of all fleet and GPS equipment.
- Track contract documents, costs, and record data for security-related contracts.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including supporting divisional initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- 3 years of experience.
- Must have valid U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and maintain it throughout employment.
