About the Role
The Real Estate Business Partner will lead client relationship management and ongoing real estate activities for a single McKesson client (business unit), serving as the primary real estate advisor and directing strategic discussions and decision-making. This role involves collaborating with other real estate functions to support client needs, leveraging experience in advisory, functional management, and analytics for portfolio planning, site selection, and other key initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Function as a real estate business partner, managing through influence and relationship building at all levels of the business unit’s leadership.
- Serve as the single point of contact on all client-related matters, understanding the business's profitability, strategies, challenges, opportunities, goals, and objectives.
- Utilize real estate experience, industry insights, and analytics to help the business solve challenging issues.
- Devise, prepare, and present appropriate business unit reporting, including quarterly business reviews with portfolio health analysis and significant activity/project details.
- Drive portfolio and site planning across the total business real estate footprint and regionally based on structure, labor, and location strategies.
- Lead all business unit real estate specific M&A activity, master planning, and integration/implementation.
- Advise and coordinate on scenario and modeling across all real estate functions, including space planning assumptions, transaction terms, and project scope/budgets.
- Coordinate and assist in all real estate financial planning matters, including annual budget and capital planning, advising the business on financial matters.
- Lead the preparation of the real estate business case for all contemplated projects in coordination with business unit strategy, finance teams, and other real estate functions.
- Align business unit real estate strategy with enterprise goals, objectives, and initiatives.
- Partner cross-functionally to identify opportunities for the business unit and solve through collaboration using performance analytics and action plans.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in all real estate related matters, including resourcing, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Maintain communication with project delivery teams and prepare reports for client’s executive and local leadership teams.
- Maintain communication with all outsourced teams to eliminate potential conflicts or hurdles to project success.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years real estate experience (less years accepted with relevant Master’s or Doctorate qualifications).
- At least two years in a client advisory role or leading a real estate strategic or delivery function.

- Demonstrated leadership experience managing diverse opinions and stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes.
- Strategic mindset with a focus on interdependent complexities and relational challenges.
- Significant experience developing successful partnerships and leading through influence where no reporting relationship exists.
- Strong financial acumen with ability to analyze and opine on financial models and transaction terms.
- Executive presentation and communication skills in both physical and virtual formats.
- Detail-oriented and analytical approach with ability to independently set and deliver on deadlines and solve problems.
- Curious nature; motivated to seek out industry/market insights applicable to client’s business.
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.

- DFW: Hybrid schedule with a few days per month in the Irving, TX office

- $118,100 - $196,900
