About the Role
The Project Manager II is responsible for medium to large sized strategic projects that focus on achieving business results. This role collaborates with stakeholders to identify resource needs, assign responsibilities, and develop schedules to ensure timely project completion. The Project Manager II may occasionally be directed in aspects of the work while gaining experience in some of the complex tasks within the job function.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the business sponsor and key stakeholders to facilitate the development of the project charter for medium to large sized strategic projects.
- Coordinate the development of the cost benefit analysis for assigned projects.
- Review and assess detailed project requirements to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Partner with operational leaders to facilitate the development of the project plan.
- Drive progress throughout project execution to ensure project objectives are achieved.
- Create project status reports to keep stakeholders informed.
- Manage changes to project to ensure deliverables remain aligned with project goals.
- Position project team for success by ensuring risks are mitigated and issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Capture and analyze lessons learned for improvement.
- Manage project close-out to ensure all project items are complete.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- Two to four years of experience.
- Supervisory/management experience not applicable.
- Must have strong communication, organization, and relationship skills.
- Experience with Agile frameworks.
- Familiarity with scrum master role.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application.
