About the Role

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. This role manages the store during the Store Manager’s absence and leads team members in servicing customers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
  • Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom, including team member execution on customer service programs.
  • Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed during peak business hours.
  • Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback, coaching, mentoring, and ensuring training is current.
  • Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management.
  • Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
  • Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner and contact customers upon shipment arrivals.
  • Utilize electronic outside purchase order ledger to ensure special orders and outside purchases are handled efficiently and according to procedure.
  • Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and friendly, issue refunds accurately, and process returned merchandise correctly.
  • Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced before product leaves the store.
  • Communicate Zipline messages and delegate/complete Image Maker and merchandising tasks.
  • Ensure all team members comply with company policies, including adhering to posted work schedules and clocking in/out accordingly.
  • Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day end procedures, verifying/securing money/deposits, preparing bank deposits, ensuring security measures are in place, and arming/disarming security alarms.
  • Assist the store manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, computer hardware, in-store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Sales Specialist Training
  • Assistant Manager Certification
  • RSS Certification
  • Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
