About the Role
The Retail Service Specialist supports the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. This position also assumes shift management responsibilities in the absence of management.
Responsibilities
- Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
- Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom, including team member execution on customer service programs.
- Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
- Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner and contact customers upon shipment arrivals.
- Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure, utilizing electronic outside purchase order ledger.
- Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and in a friendly manner, issue refunds accurately, and stage returned merchandise correctly.
- Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced before product leaves the store.
- Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks.
- Ensure team members adhere to the posted work schedule, obtain management approval for changes, and clock in/out according to company policy.
- Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day end procedures, verifying/securing money/deposits, preparing bank deposits, ensuring night security lights are on, locking doors, securing the building, arming/disarming security alarms, and checking/securing/locking delivery vehicles.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to obtain RSS Certification
- Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts
- Automotive systems and repair knowledge
- ASE Certification
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
