About the Role
The Wound/Ostomy Nurse will evaluate and provide quality Wound & Ostomy Care to patients referred by a physician in keeping with the Alabama Board of Nursing Nurse Practice Act and following Standards of Nursing Practice. The Wound/Ostomy Nurse provides services for infants, pediatrics, adolescent, young adults, older adults, and geriatric population as related to Wound and Ostomy Care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current RN license in the state
- One (1) year or experience in an acute care or wound care setting Preferred
Skills
- Entry level knowledge of Wound and Ostomy Care
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to communicate effectively in an emergency situation
