About the Role
The Security Supervisor is a seasonal leadership position responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the Security Department. This role provides direct supervision, guidance, and support to Security officers while ensuring the safety of guests, associates, and park assets.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day leadership, supervision, and operational oversight of the Security Department.
- Coordinate daily staffing assignments and deployments of Security personnel.
- Supervise the Public Safety Communications Office and support efficient radio communication.
- Respond to and manage security incidents, emergencies, guest concerns, and other operational events.
- Enforce all park policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
- Coach, mentor, train, and evaluate seasonal Security officers.
- Promote a positive, guest-focused environment by delivering exceptional customer service and resolving conflicts.
- Ensure the safety and security of guests, associates, contractors, and company assets.
- Maintain and coordinate accurate reports, incident documentation, and departmental records.
- Support implementation of corporate safety initiatives, security standards, and departmental operating procedures.
- Foster a positive work environment through teamwork, accountability, and professionalism.
- Perform other duties and special assignments as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
- The New York State 8-hour certification and the New York State security guard license.
- Must be able to stand, walk, climb stairs, and work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions.
- Must be able to respond quickly to emergencies and perform the essential functions of the position.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, accountability, and sound judgement.
- Possesses flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts.
- Possesses ability to lead multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining composure during emergencies.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement and make effective decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Candidate is expected to remain actively employed through the conclusion of the 2026 operating season (10/25/26).
