About the Role
This is a 4-month paid Fall internship in the Ecommerce department at Phillips, a leading global auction house focused on 20th Century and Contemporary art, design, and luxury items. The internship offers insight into the day-to-day operations with a specific focus on the Dropshop platform, connecting the audience with artists, collaborators, and brands.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one support for the department by fielding phone calls and answering basic questions.
- Manage the general Dropshop inbox, reviewing and answering pre-drop inquiries and facilitating post-drop communication, including Know Your Client (KYC) Verification, Billing & Shipping Updates.
- Coordinate with Marketing, Creative, and Press departments to support campaign rollouts, including asset and copy delivery, partner feedback, and final approval.
- Write and prepare editorial notes for each drop in collaboration with the marketing team.
- Build and maintain product and collection pages in Shopify for upcoming Dropshop releases, uploading images, cataloguing information, and content.
- Review and reconcile Dropshop purchases, updating fulfillment status post-drop.
- Manage the Dropshop document archive, specifically relating to legal, cataloguing, and digital assets.
- Liaise with internal project leads in marketing, product, technology, and operations as required.
- Assist with warehouse fulfillment operations as needed, including preparing shipping labels, customs forms, packing limited-edition prints, and preparing sold works for shipment.
Requirements
- Previous relevant experience and/or education preferred.
- College graduates with a Bachelor’s degree, or current college students with full-time, in-person availability.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as necessary.
