About the Role
The Technician IV – Electrician operates facility systems, performs preventative and corrective maintenance, and provides routine and on-demand services on mechanical and electrical equipment. This role ensures compliance with company policies, trade certifications, and environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Performs work in accordance to established processes and practices
- Complies with all internal and external requirements including environmental, health and safety, and fire protection
- Performs regular facility, mechanical, and electrical equipment monitoring and inspection for preventative and corrective maintenance
- Provides observations and recommendations for facility equipment and systems enhancement and repair
- Monitors assigned facility through walkthroughs and equipment inspection
- Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs mechanical and electrical building systems and equipment
- Responds to service requests and performs preventative and corrective maintenance
- Manages work order lifecycle and records resolution data
- Receives, tracks, monitors, and reports status of maintenance and repair work
- Assists in the implementation of the preventative maintenance (PM) program
- Participates in facility-related projects
- Ensures work performed complies with corporate and legislated policies, procedures, practices, and guidelines
- Maintains all assigned tools and arranges for repair and replacement
- Submits all expenditures on a timely basis
- Assists in enhancing tenant and customer satisfaction and maintaining positive relations
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must be able to work shifts, be available for on-call/standby, and emergency call-outs
- Must strictly adhere to Health and Safety policies and processes
- Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Skills
- Facility operations and maintenance work experience
- BMCS Controls experience (asset)
- Advanced ability to adhere to and execute processes and practices for facility operations and maintenance
- Advanced ability to maintain and repair mechanical and electrical building systems and equipment
- Advanced troubleshooting and resolution skills
- Current knowledge of fire, life, safety, and building codes and standards
- Ability to research and apply related codes and standards
- Strong environmental, health, and safety mindset
- Ability to perform work in a safe manner
- Strong client-service orientation
- High sense of urgency
- Effective communication skills

Salary/Compensations
- $61,850 - $77,313 per annum
