About the Role

Oversee the operation and development of policies and procedures for the Enriched Housing program. Ensure sales processes are progressing, manage resident admissions and discharges, protect residents' rights, and supervise nursing staff and department heads. This role also involves staff hiring and training, maintaining a sales culture, organizing facility functions, overseeing construction and maintenance, assisting with the budget, handling resident complaints, representing the facility, ensuring compliance with NYS Department of Health regulations, and consulting with the Vice President of Sales.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operation of the Enriched Housing program.
  • Develop policies and procedures for the Enriched Housing program.
  • Manage the operation of the Adult Home, including policy implementation and liaison among staff and departments.
  • Track sales processes, including phone calls, leads, tours, and lease signings.
  • Review and approve resident admissions based on care capabilities.
  • Manage the admission, transfer, and discharge of residents.
  • Protect residents' rights and develop mechanisms for their protection.
  • Supervise all nursing staff and Department Heads.
  • Assist with the completion of the facility schedule.
  • Hire and train staff, maintaining documentation.
  • Maintain a sales culture across all departments and shifts.
  • Organize facility functions through departmentalization and delegation.
  • Oversee new construction projects, building maintenance, and equipment.
  • Review the physical conditions of the facility.
  • Assist with the facility budget.
  • Handle investigations and resolutions of resident complaints.
  • Represent the facility and promote good public relations.
  • Maintain and update all requirements set forth by the New York State Department of Health.
  • Consult, support, and advise the Vice President of Sales on all operations.
  • Meet with residents to address concerns and maintain good relations.
  • Lead the Quality Assurance Committee quarterly.
  • Order facility supplies.
  • Obtain and maintain certifications as an ACF/Enriched Housing program director.
  • Complete all New York State Department of Health surveys and plans of correction.

Requirements

  • A master's degree in social work from an accredited college or university plus one year of related work experience.
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an approved course of study, plus three years of related experience acceptable to the department, of which one must have been in a supervisory capacity.
  • Approved courses of study may include, but need not be limited to, human services for dependent adults, health care management programs, social work programs, gerontological studies and home economics.
  • Related work experience may include, but need not be limited to, work in residential care, rehabilitation, health care management and social work.
  • Good physical and mental health.
  • Good hearing and speech.
  • Ability to deal with people to promote good public relations for the facility.
