About the Role
The Data Solutions Specialist manages customer variable data for printed labeling, integrating customer IT system data into Avery Dennison's software solutions. This role involves collaborating with Sales, conducting software demos, and serving as the customer-facing variable data expert. It provides guidance and development support to customers on data & order management and digital product solutions.
Responsibilities
- Function as a primary and direct point of contact for retailers and brand owners to provide critical business and technical analysis for development needs related to variable data products and online ordering solutions.
- Engage directly with customers to analyze existing business data systems, map and integrate customer data into Avery Dennison systems/software, and prepare Statements of Work capturing functional and data requirements.
- Work closely with global stakeholders to prepare project plans, lead calls across IT, Sales, Development, and Operations teams, and manage multiple implementation projects to ensure milestones, dates, and quality standards are met.
- Ensure functional and data requirements are met by preparing test plans, executing end-to-end testing including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and resolving customer variable data issues in collaboration with production sites.
- Maintain and create global or customer-specific data models, provide guidance to internal teams on CX development tools, and deliver training and direction to Sales and Operations for effective program rollouts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge gained through training and experience.
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis, system integration, or B2B customer-facing technical roles, ideally within the retail, apparel, or label industries.
- Basic understanding of IT programming and high-level PC skills (including ERP/Oracle, Access, Excel, Word, G Suite, and customer databases).
- Strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and proven ability to establish and maintain strong customer relationships while managing multiple projects against tight deadlines.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, presentation, and oral/written communication skills in English (fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus).

- $62,750 - $95,200 / year
