About the Role
We are looking for several school/daycare assistants to support children with special needs in their individual development. You will help children build confidence, recognize their strengths, and provide them with valuable life skills. We use a modern, scientifically based approach focused on relationship, trust, and genuine development.
Responsibilities
- Accompanying children with special needs on their individual school or daycare journey.
- Methodical work with various learning materials and tasks.
- Applying modern concepts for learning, education, and school.
- Supporting a child within a classroom or group setting.
- Assisting with structuring learning and daily routines, including emotional situations.
- Supporting communication with fellow students.
- Documenting support activities, informing parents, and communicating with schools or daycares.
Requirements
- High level of empathy to understand children's needs.
- Positive and reflective attitude.
- Residency within the service area (Berlin-Buch/Pankow, Steglitz-Zehlendorf, Kleinmachnow, Stahnsdorf, Nuthetal).
- Strong sense of responsibility and reliability.
- Clear and supportive communication skills.
- Experience in working with children is desirable (e.g., social worker, special education teacher, therapist, educator).
- Career changers with experience in working with children are welcome.
