About the Role

CDL Drivers are essential at Foundation Building Materials (FBM), responsible for safely and efficiently delivering materials. This role offers local routes, daily home time, and a supportive culture.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles, including up to 26’ trucks, in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Deliver materials to customer project sites on time, providing excellent customer service.
• Unload materials at delivery locations and verify deliveries against packing slips.
• Ensure deliveries are handled professionally and courteously.
• Adhere to all driving regulations and safety protocols, including OSHA requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
• Use proper lifting techniques and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Attend and participate in all required meetings and company training programs.
• Support company values in Safety, Customer Focus, Teamwork, Integrity, and being a Company of Choice.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Possess valid Class A or Class B CDL.
• Minimum 1-year consistent commercial driving experience.
• Works well in a team environment.
• Basic understanding and knowledge of the operation of a forklift and other equipment.
• Basic understanding and knowledge of building materials.
• Must be able to learn how to operate a forklift and other company vehicles and must understand and be able to use miscellaneous tools and equipment.
